Frogs and Logs

First, frogs : heard the most amazing frog symphony on the weekend, at the 'Slough' off of Deschutes River near Benham falls. Visited it on a rainy day, remembering last fall when we saw thousands of hatchling frogs and toads jumping around. This time - though we didn't see any frogs - we can only assume it was large frogs just out of hibernation, issuing mating calls or other frog vocalizings. It would start out with just one frog burping out a 'Ribbit', then another would join in, and all of a sudden you would have thousands of frogs ribbiting in a deafening crescendo. Very cool.
