45

Got my 45
Still got my 45
Goin thru my head
Not under my bed
It use to be 33.3
And I loved it that way
I think
But it always seemed weird,
like it could have been so much more.
Then one day the light finally shone,
I saw the camouflaged number,
pumped it up to 45,
and entered a new world where all was set right.
Except now and then I missed the 33.3.

Mountain

The mountain is an impossible barrier. The interloper begins the ascent, expecting detection and subsequent attack. But the enemies never materialize, and not long after the journey begins, a new way through becomes apparent. Henceforth into darkness...

Drive

The road is barely visible through the distorted windshield. The inebriated driver is sober within his shell, but the connection to reality is tenuous at best. The speed of the vehicle is insane - impact is inevitable - yet it all happens in slow-motion, and the conveyance weaves unerringly through perilous obstacles. Still the operator fears intensely for his safety. Remorse floods his thoughts, along with vows to never repeat this nightmare. Yet there is also a sense of amusement and the thrill of unpredictable dangers. Soon it all fades to white - is this death or an awakening ?
